Transparency & exchange
On leaving its multiple offices at the Alma, Gide wanted a single site that would bring together all its expertise and outline the changing face of the legal profession. Greater transparency, easier exchanges between professions, between associates and between employees, for greater synergy and performance. Gide’s image as a modern, attractive firm was a key factor in recruiting the best people and competing on equal terms with the Anglo-Saxon “Majors”. The result: visible lawyers, partners and associates, in light-filled offices of the same size for greater flexibility, meeting spaces dotted around the 14,000m2 of this new space, and support services positioned to “force” lawyers to move around to optimize the chances of bumping into each other.
